Mark Savage

Director of Commercial Operations

Mark Savage brings decades of proven leadership and hands-on expertise to SZ GlassWorks, with a career rooted in mastering the craft from the ground up. Beginning in the glass industry at an early age, he developed a deep, practical understanding of both field operations and project execution that continues to inform his leadership today.

He joined Buddy’s Glass Company full-time in 1992, advancing quickly from field operations into estimating and project management. By 1998, he was leading complex commercial projects, building a reputation for reliability, efficiency, and disciplined execution.

Mark further expanded his experience at Miller Glass Company, where he spent more than a decade managing a diverse portfolio of commercial work. His combined field and management background provides a rare, end-to-end perspective—ensuring projects are executed on schedule, within budget, and with clear communication among all stakeholders.

As Director of Commercial Operations, Mark is actively engaged in every phase of a project—from early concept through final closeout. Whether coordinating teams in the field, managing materials, or maintaining schedules, his leadership ensures every project meets the highest standards of quality, accountability, and performance.

Clain Zimmerman

Director of Preconstruction

A lifelong Tallahassee resident, Clain Zimmerman brings a strategic, disciplined approach to preconstruction, shaped by years of experience in commercial construction. A third-generation graduate of Leon High School, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Georgia Southern University and is a LEED Accredited Professional with a 30-hour OSHA certification.

Clain began his career with respected general contractors, serving as Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Estimator, and Project Manager. This foundation provided extensive experience in value engineering, budgeting, scheduling, and full-cycle project delivery—developing an owner’s mindset focused on risk mitigation, cost control, and executional clarity.

In 2016, he brought this expertise into the glass industry, joining Miller Glass and applying his commercial construction perspective to strengthen coordination between design teams, contractors, and clients. His ability to translate design intent into practical, buildable solutions contributed to the successful delivery of numerous projects.

As Director of Preconstruction, Clain leads all activities prior to construction, ensuring alignment, transparency, and informed decision-making from the outset. His proactive approach reduces uncertainty, mitigates risk, and positions every project for efficient, successful execution.

David Halle

Director of Residential Operations

David Halle brings nearly four decades of experience to SZ GlassWorks, with a career defined by craftsmanship, leadership, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. He began his career at age 20, assuming responsibility for his family’s glass business in South Florida and leading it to long-term success through exceptional workmanship and customer service.

After relocating to Tallahassee, David continued his work in the industry with Miller Glass, where he became known for his expertise in high-end residential applications. His portfolio includes custom shower and steam enclosures, architectural glass features, wine rooms, mirrored installations, and specialty finishes such as antique mirror.

David’s attention to detail, technical precision, and deep product knowledge consistently elevate the quality of every project. His ability to execute complex, design-driven work has earned the trust of homeowners, builders, and designers seeking a higher level of craftsmanship.

As Director of Residential Operations, David oversees all residential projects with a focus on precision, efficiency, and client satisfaction. His leadership ensures every installation reflects the highest standards of execution and reinforces SZ GlassWorks’ reputation for excellence.
